First time appointments provide clients with a comprehensive assessment and result in a collaboratively developed treatment plan, or the appropriate referral for the client.

Dr. Kayia Akoun received her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her Psychiatry Residency Program at the University of Maryland-Sheppard Pratt. She also became a fellow at the McLean Hospital, completing the Women’s Mental Health Psychiatry Fellowship. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and is a licensed medical doctor through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, 2020-2021.
Dr. Akoun’s clinical practice is currently at capacity and not receiving new clients at this time.
